Verizon cuts DROID Xyboard pricing by $50

When the Motorola DROID Xyboard was released earlier this month, reviewers complained about the lack of a microSD slot, old technology, the odd name and most of all the�outrageous�price tag ? $529 on contract for the 10-inch model. While other companies were readying quad-core devices, Motorola and Verizon were seemingly content with last year’s Tegra 2 chipset to power their new flagship tablets. Verizon is now looking to make the tablet more attractive to consumers with a $50 price cut. The 8-inch Xyboard still starts at $379.99 and the 10-inch model costs $479.99 with a two-year agreement, however, which are both tough sells with CES and the first wave of Android 4.0 tablets right around the corner.
